OBITUARY

Graveside services for Lawrence A. PUNDT, age 87, were held at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Aaron Laverty, pastor of Gageby Baptist Church, officiated.

Mr. PUNDT died Sunday, November 14, 1999. He was born January 8, 1912 to John Lewis and Ruth Alice Tubb PUNDT in the Locust Grove Community in Lipscomb County. He attended Locust Grove School and graduated from Canadian High School. Mr. PUNDT married Evelyn May KELLN at Locust Grove Baptist Church. He was a charter member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church. He served as church clerk, Sunday School Superintendent and in many other capacities.

He served on the Lipscomb School Board and as an election judge for the Locust Grove precinct. He farmed and ranched with his father until his parents moved to Canadian, when he acquired the farm and ranch. He enjoyed farming and working with cattle until his retirement.

His parents and two brothers, Lewis Earl PUNDT and John Halley PUNDT, preceded him in death.

Mr. PUNDT is survived by his wife, Evelyn PUNDT of Canadian; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann ALEXANDER of Pampa and Jeri Lynn PUNDT of Canadian, and a granddaughter, Amy Denise NORWOOD of Pampa.
