Ida Louella Brockmeyer, 91, Grand Forks, ND, died Monday, February 25, 2008 in Valley Eldercare of Grand Forks.

Ida Louella "Lindy" Lindenmuth was born April 17, 1916 in Germantown, Ohio, the daughter of Ward and Omah (Smith) Lindenmuth. She was raised and educated in Germantown and graduated from Germantown High School in 1934. She graduated from the Jewish Hospital School of Nursing, Cincinnati, OH in 1938. She worked as a nursing supervisor at Jewish Hospital .

Ida married Albert Brockmeyer on November 2, 1940 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Germantown, Ohio. They lived in Lockland, OH until retiring to Germantown in 1980.

Albert Brockmeyer died on September 5, 1993.
Ida moved to Country Estates, 4000 Valley Square, Grand Forks in 1999, to Tufte Manor in July of 2006 and Valley Eldercare in May of 2007.

Ida "Lindy" loved to visit with people, had a great sense of humor and was an excellent communicator. She also loved to sew and read. She was a very active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Reading, OH and of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Germantown, OH.

Survivors include her son, Roger (Suzanne) Brockmeyer, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Laurie Haydon, Grand Forks, Michael (Angie) Brockmeyer, East Grand Forks, MN, Beth Brockmeyer, Olympia, WA and Jon Brockmeyer, Grand Forks; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Hayley, Taylor, Lauren, Sam, Prana and Anonda; brother, Ward Jr. (Joanna) Lindenmuth, Germantown, OH., a sister-in-law, Martha Eminger, Columbus, OH, and four nieces and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert, and sister, Margaret Louise Lindenmuth.

Funeral Services: Thursday, February 28, 2008, 2:00 P.M. at Valley Memorial Home Woodside Village, Grand Forks, ND.

Visitation: Thursday, February 28, 2008, 1:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. at Valley Memorial Home Woodside Village.
