Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, age 77, died peacefully at his home on February 4, 2011.

Born June 17, 1933 in Riverton, Utah to Wesley E. Lloyd and E. Valene Lloyd. Married Joan Williams on November 15, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Doug spent his childhood in Riverton, Utah and attended Jordan High School. He was a member of the LDS Church and was honorably discharged from the US Army. Doug's hobbies were cars, coin collecting, and golf.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Joan W. Lloyd; sisters: Carol (Robert) Odenwalder, Leah (Wayne) Bird; brother: Robert Lloyd; children: Lynette (Michael) Tesch, Brian (Christine) Lloyd, Bryce Lloyd, and Brad (Anna) Lloyd; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Wesley E. and E. Valene Lloyd; brother: James B. Lloyd; and sister-in-law: Sandra N. Lloyd.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the West Jordan Mountain View Second Ward Chapel, 2901 West 9000 South, West Jordan, Utah. Friends may also call at the Church one hour prior to the funeral. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening, February 10, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 South 2200 West, Riverton, Utah.
Interment will be in the Riverton City Cemetery.
