Mourning (Taylor) Harris, daughter of Daniel Taylor & Jane (Rowland) Taylor.... Mourning moved to Lawrence County, Alabama after the death of her husband, William Harris.
She grew up in Grainger County, Tennessee, where her family settled about 1795 and married William Harris in October 22 1810 in Grainger County, Tennessee, son of Peter Harris. Mourning's sister, Keziah Taylor married William's brother, James Harris, January 17 1803 in Grainger County Tennessee. Records indicate James & Keziah moved to Alabama. In 1835 when her father, Daniel Taylor died, Keziah was omitted from his will.
