UNION-Services for Walter Ray Richardson, were held 2:00 p. m., Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, at Pine Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Curtis Guest, Rev. Bobby Barfoot, and Rev. Kermit Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in the Union City Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home of Union in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Richardson, age 87, of Union, passed from this life on Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at his residence in Union.
Survivors include his wife, Mavis Richardson of Union, 4 daughters, Leisa Suddeth and her husband, Scott of Dallas, TX, Angie Rash and husband, Kevin of Union, Amy Richardson of Meridian, and Nona Griffin and husband, Stacy of Union; 5 step-children, Nancy Powers of Knoxville, TN, Nanette Richardson and her husband, Allan of Kosciusko, MS, Josh Adams and his wife, Georgianne of Madison, MS, Faye Henson of New Albany, MS and Marie Barron of Corinth, MS; 16 grandchildren, Rich Sudderth, Kyle Sudderth, Andrea Rash, Jacob Rash, Matthew Griffin, Nathan Griffin, Seth Griffin, Nanya Stooksbury, Alice Power, Patrick Power, Jarett Richardson, Amanda Adams, Raven Henson, Tammy Banks, Tonya Austin, and Tiffeny Banks; 8 great great grandchildren; a sister, Lois Blankenship of Memphis, TN; and a brother, Frank Richardson of Union, MS.
Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by his wife, Coralyn Richardson, son, Rich Richardson, and eight siblings.
Visitation were from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, 23rd at the funeral home and from 12 noon until the service time on Wednesday Pine Grove Baptist Church at House, MS.
