Organized Crime Figure. After his graduation from Saint John Neumann High School, he spent one year at Temple University before leaving and going into the real estate business. Given that his father was involved in drug trafficking, loansharking and extortion, he soon followed him into a career in organized crime. By March of 1980, his father had become boss of the Philadelphia crime family, but exactly one year later, his father was killed by a 'nail' bomb placed under his porch. Testa took over control of his father's businesses and in January of 1982, he was promoted to capo regime by the new boss Nicodemo Scarfo. Testa avenged his father's murder by murdering those mobsters involved in his father's death. In 1984, when he broke his engagement with underboss Salvatore Merlino's daughter, Merlino was insulted. Scarfo also feared Testa's growing popularity and decided to eliminate him. He was shot by Salvatore Grande and his body was left on a road in Gloucester Township in New Jersey.
