Illness Takes Life Of Julia C. Mounts, Ash Grove Pioneer
Mrs. Julia C. Mounts, 78, died at 2:40 o'clock yesterday morning in her home at Ash Grove, following a lingering illness. She had lived at Ash Grove 54 years and was one of the oldest members of the Christian church there. Her second husband, W. A. Mounts, died about 10 years ago. Mrs. Mounts is survived by one son, Frank mcPherson, Ash Grove druggist; one granddaughter Mrs. Everett Banta of Ash Grove; and a brother, Frank P. Boyer of Sandusky, Ohio. Funeral services will be in the residence...Interment will be in the Ash Grove cemetery .
Marriage License for Julia and William, she listed William Boyer as her father and Susan Becht as her mother. William died September 21, 1928. His first wife Maria Hinton Mounts died March 4th 1922 at Long Beach California. William moved back to Ash Grove MO with Julia but when his health got bad he moved to a Soldiers Home in Los Angeles and he is buried next to Mariah. Julia's first husband is shown as A S McPherson and he died October 25th 1919 in Ash Grove Mo. (info shared by Darrell Mounts)
