Wilbur P. Horne, 83, died early Saturday at Candler Hospital in Savannah after a short illness. The Bulloch County native had lived in Savannah for 35 years before returning to Bulloch County in 1969. He was retired from Certain-Teed Products in Savannah, was deacon and treasurer of Leefield Baptist Church, and was former treasurer of the Ogeechee River Baptist Association.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Horne, Leefield; and one daughter, Susan Warren, Savannah.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Hodges-Turner Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Rogers officiating and the Rev. Charles Edenfield assisting. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery.
