Miss Lorene Amerson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.P. Amerson, died Thursday, April 26 at 12:30 a.m., after an illness of seven weeks duration. Deceased was 19 years old last December and was born and reared in Jones county. She was a graduate of the 1927 class of the Stamford high school.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Fairview church, with Rev. J.H. Hamblen officiating and interment was made at Fairview cemetery, west of the city.

Surviving: parents, younger sister - Arliene. Among out-of-town relatives at the funeral: Mr. and Mrs. White Turner, Ira Turner, W.W. Poe of Norton; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Turner and children, Reuben and Frank Turner, Mrs. Fred Pork of Itasca; Miss Vida Amerson of Abilene; A.E. Amerson of Hillsboro.

W.N. Kinney had charge.
