D.C. Williams of Broken Bow, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at his home. He was born in Eagletown, McCurtain Co., Oklahoma, 13 Dec 1929. He was 81 years old.

D.C. was the son of David Crockett and Armina "Mina" Todd Williams.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving his country in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars as a Hospital Corpsman. He retired with the rank of Lieutenant-03. Much of his service was aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Bonhomme Richard.

D.C. married Mary Ann Sims on April 7, 1950, in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a member of the Lukfata Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and devoting time to his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Carl Williams.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law; David Williams and wife Debbie of Broken Bow, and Daryl Williams and wife Debbie of Broken Bow. Survived also by grandchildren, Tiffany McGowen and husband Kendell of Edmond, OK, Cam Williams and wife Kristin, of Edmond, OK, Brett Williams, of Broken Bow, OK, Darissa Harkey and husband Jason, of Ft. Rucker, AL, and Dathan Williams, of Broken Bow, OK. Also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, JR and Judy Williams of Las Vegas, NV, a sister, Verna Lee Snyder of Kodiak, AK, and three great-grandchildren, Jackson Williams, Caden Williams, and Bradyn McGowen plus numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation is 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, Feb. 4th at Lukfata Baptist Church. Viewing Saturday, Feb. 5th at Lukfata Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at Lukfata Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, Broken Bow, McCurtain Co., Oklahoma.
