A memorial service for Harold "Dean" Duncan, 75 will be conducted on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church in Chugwater, Wyoming with Pastor Skip Perry officiating. Interment will be in the Peace Cemetery in Lyons, Kansas at a later date.

Dean Duncan a resident of Chugwater passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

He was born October 15, 1935 in Lyons, Kansas the son of Robert A. and Roberta E. (Lynes) Duncan. His family moved to the Bay Area of California, where Dean was raised and educated, graduating from Castlemont High School. After two years of college at Chabot College he went to work for National Airlines and Pan Am moving about the country with these jobs.

Dean married Barbara May "Bobbi" Brenner on March 9, 1974 in Miami, Florida. Most of Dean's career was truck driving; his most favorite being with Jim Palmer Trucking out of Missoula, Montana. He moved his family to Chugwater on November18, 2005. He loved his dogs and cats, was a member of the Chugwater Historical Unity Group (CHUG), National Rifle Association, North American Hunting Club and enjoyed having coffee on Thursdays at the Soda Fountain with the guys. Dean also enjoyed helping with the Chugwater Chili Cook-off. Dean attended the First United Methodist Church of Chugwater.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Bobbi, on February 15, 2010.

He is survived by daughter, Tiffany Duncan and sister-in-law, Fran Hammeren both of Chugwater; daughter, Peggy Duncan of Castro Valley, California; a brother, Jim ( Patty) Duncan of Pleasanton, California; a granddaughter, Erin Milichichi of Hayward, California; a great granddaughter, Delilah Saenz of Hayward; two nephews, Dave Duncan of Pleasanton and Chris ( Raquel) Duncan of Modesto, California.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Brian Suarez, Mary Wade, Melisa Sulfridge, and all his Wyoming friends.

A memorial to CHUG, P.O. Box 33, Chugwater, Wyoming, 82210, or to Chugwater Community Center, P.O. Box 243, Chugwater, Wyoming, 82210 would be appreciated by the family.

His second wife's name was Barbara "Bobbi" May Brenner born in November 1946 and died Feb 15, 2010 in Chugwater, Wyoming. Barbara and Harold "Dean" had one daughter together, Tiffany Duncan.
