He was the son of Matthias and Anna Magdalena (Modelina) Fuchs.

We believe he was born in Maryland.

Married Anna Maria Copple about 1777.

Children: Elisabeth Fouts, Johannes Fox, Johann Philip Fox, Christina Bollabaugh, Balthaser/Balsor Fox, Maria Butler Kitchel, Barbara Wright, Judia Bass, Margaret Fox, Jacob Fox

Michael served in the American Revolution from Frederick County, Maryland.

After the war he moved to Randolph County, North Carolina and later to Shelbyville, Indiana.
