Emma Young Butler, 99, of Lockesburg, Ark., died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, in a Sulphur Springs, Texas, hospital.
Mrs. Butler was born Jan. 30, 1907, in Bluff Springs, Ark. She was a homemaker, Sunday school teacher and member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lee Butler, in 1969; and one son, Dennis Butler, in 2001.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, two daughters and one son-in-law and six grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at New Prospect Baptist Church. Burial will be in Wrights Chapel Cemetery under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A meal will be served at the church following the service.
