LUFKIN - Services for James Hilton Greenville Sr., 78, of Luikin, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 27,2000, in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Hedges and the Rev. Lloyd Bowden officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow at Simpson Cemetery under the auspices of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge No. 669 A.F.&A.M.
Mr. Greenville was born on October 16, 1922, in Pollok, Texas, to the late John C. and Becky (Goodwin) Greenville and died Monday, December 25, 2000, in a local hospital.
He had resided in Lufkin for the past 30 years and was a retired district manager with National Life and Accident Insurance Company where he was employed for 20 years. He was a member of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge No. 669 AF.&AM. where he served as past master. He was also a past patron of the Lufkin Chapter Order of Eastern Star No. 382. Mr.
Greenville was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Virginia (Scrafoni) Greenville of Lufkin; son, Spanky Greenville of Freer, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Sylvia Ann and Preacher Ray Greenville of Zavalla, Texas, and Janice Elaine and Ben Kok of Ben Wheeler, Texas; son-in-law, Robert M. Wheeler Sr., MD of Longview, Texas; grandchildren, Robert M. Wheeler Jr., M. Ritchey Wheeler, Shane Greenville, John Q. Greenville and Spanky Rae Greenville; brothers, Homer Greenville, George Greenville and Lester Greenville, all of Lufkin; numerous nieces and
nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Wheeler Jr., Ritchey Wheeler,
Shane Greenville, John Greenville, Chase Greenville, Ben Kok, Bob Wheeler Sr., MD and Alvin Greenville.
