Mrs. Elizabeth Chamness died at her home in West Main Street on Saturday. Her health has been poor and her death had been expected for some days, she being a sufferer from heart trouble. The funeral services at Union Church were conducted by Elder J.J. Canine. Interment in the Union Cemetery Monday afternoon. Elizabeth Huddleston was born at Brownsburg in Hendricks county July 9, 1837. She joined the Baptist Church at that place and has lived a consistent Christian life. There she married William Chamness and with him removed to Waveland 30 years ago. 10 years ago, while living on S.J. Milligan's farm, Mr. Chamness died. She bought the property where Harry Galey lives in West Main where three years later her son Wesley died. She then moved to the house now owned by W.S. Gosling where in 1905, the remaining son Henry passed away, leaving her alone in the world, with the exception of nephews and nieces. Her will gives all her property, consisting of the home where she died and some cash in the bank to Ruth, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.H. Clark.
