The Celina Record, 16 December 1982, Celina, Texas Funeral services for Bessie Mae Marks, 89, of Celina were held Monday, December 13, 1982 in Celina with Rev. J. B. Bledsoe officiating. Interment was at Cottage Hill.
Mrs. Marks was born August 26, 1893 in the Alla Hubbard community, the daughter of Charlie Callahan and Carrie Bilderback Callahan. On December 5, 1914 in Celina she married Fred Marks. Mr. Marks passed away in 1964.
Mrs. Marks, who passed away December 11, 1982 in a Gunter nursing home, was survived by two sons, Glen Marks of New Braunfels, Texas and Wayne Marks of Grand Prairie; one sister, Mrs. Cassie Flannery of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Marks was a housewife and a member of the Methodist church.
Pallbearers were Justin Jezek, Nolan Walker, Russell Baldridge, Lee Rucker, B. R. Huddleston and Lynn Stambaugh. Honorary pallbearers were Paul O'Brien, J. T. Grubbs, Eldon Bilderback, Ken Massey, Leon Howard, Charles Phipps and Ralph Stelzer.
