Longtime Alaskan Blythe Irene Fitzpatrick, 74, died July 22, 1997, at the Mary Conrad Center. A funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Chapel of the Cross Church of the Nazarene, 12230 Hillside Drive, with the Rev. Greg Hicks officiating. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Pallbearers will include Mike Mitchell, Patrick Sinnett, Craig Mitchell, Shay Foster, Trace Savage and Daryl Hester. Burial will be at Fort Richardson National Cemetery at a later date. Mrs. Fitzpatrick was born in Boyne City, Mich., on July 9, 1923. She had lived in Anchorage since 1958. Her hobbies included crocheting, doll making and other crafts, and she enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One grandson said: ''She was everything a grandson could want.'' Other family members described her as a wonderful Christian example to her friends and family. Mrs. Fitzpatrick is survived by her sons, Walter Mike and Robert Lee Fitzpatrick; daughters, Laurie Marie Mitchell and Gloria Jean Sinnett; grandchildren, Steve, Rose, Shane, Deann, Lee and Connie Fitzpatrick, Penny Albright, Craig, Mike and Guard Mitchell, Cindy Jaime, Annette Foster, Laura Savage, Pat Sinnett and Cordi Svardal; and great-grandchildren, Dwayne and Amber Fitzpatrick, Chelsea and Morgan Mitchell, Jesse Jaime, Molly Foster, Ashleigh and Alyssa Savage, Kristin Peppers, and Kyle Sinnett. Funeral arrangements were made by Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
