PERRYTON, Aug. 5 - Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Edith French, 60, were conducted today in the Follett School Auditorium. Burial was in Fairmont Cemetery with arrangements by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.
Mrs. French died Saturday in a Perryton hospital.
Survivors include her husband, William E. French of Follett, a son, Wayne E. French of Cactus; a daughter, Mrs. Janice Frazier of Follett; two brothers, Milton, Swope[Schwope] of Follett and Raymond Swope[Schwope] of Beaver, Okla.

Edna was born and raised in Kansas, with most of her childhood spent in Wathena. On June 7, 1916, she married William French in Lawrence, Kansas and they along with Edna's parents moved to the Ivanhoe, OK/Follett, Texas area in 1916. Around 1918, Edna and William moved to Kansas City, KS for a couple of years before returning to Follett where they remained.
Like her father, Edna suffered from arthritis. She made trips to Hot Springs, Arkansas and True or Consequences, New Mexico, seeking relief with the hot mineral waters.
