Leslie Childs
Leslie Childs, 69, of Rt. 1 Minden, died at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, July 12 at the Minden Medical Center after a long illness.
He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Church of Christ.
Services were held at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 13 at Rose-Neath Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Holtzclaw officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Edna Lewis Childs of Evergreen; two sons, James B. Childs of Shreveport and Charles H. Childs of El Dorado; three brothers, Garvis Childs of Bastrop, Thurston Childs of Minden, Huey Childs of Bossier City; two sisters, Mrs. ELma Howard of Dallas; Mrs. Ruth Booth of Minden and four grandchildren.
Pall bearers include Robert Volentine, Jake Volentine, Curtis Merritt, Alton Perryman, Leon Haynie and Everett Payne.
