Born in Daviess County on Feb. 3, 1909, he had lived in Owensboro most of his life. He was a member of the Management Club and the Lakewood Country Club.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marie Hite, Owensboro; three daughters, Mrs. Gene Gloria Goad Evansville, Ind.; Mrs. Don Peek, Mrs. Elza Morton, both of Owensboro; one son, Leslie W. Hite Jr., also of Owensboro, and five grandchildren; two brothers, Doug Hite, West Hollywood, Fla.; and Orion Hite, San Diego, Calif.
The body is at the James H. Davis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Glenn Wingeler will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
