John's parents were John Lester Gaffney II and Anna Catherine McCullagh, both born in Greenpoint as well. He was born Mar 9, 1949 at ST. Catherine's Maternity Hospital.He has only 1 sibling, a brother, Kevin. John Married Lynn Kantor and had two children Gail(Romanowski) and David. (John's cremains are with David buried behind the headstone ) Then John married Janet Kopsick and had 4 more children: Kristin(Roca) Tamara
John Jr and James. So far he has 6 grandchildren: Heather Paige, Alisha Marie, Alexandra Marie (Lexi), David Frank, Alexander John and Addison Jaymes-Katherine. When he passed away he only knew of the first 3 girls :Heather,Alisha and Alexandra(Alexandra was born 13 days after her grandpa died). John also leaves behind 2 nephews, Kevin Jr and Christopher Gaffney and 1 niece, Lauren Gaffney ,many cousins and a few aunts and uncles.
