Charles W. Hendrix, 38, died at his residence on Saturday morning after a short illness. The Bulloch County native was a former employee of Cooper-Wiss.
Survivors include his wife, Patty Hendrix, Statesboro; one daughter, Lisa Hendrix, Statesboro; one son, Wesley Hendrix, Statesboro; his mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Chappel, Metter; his father, Bernard Hendrix Sr., Statesboro; one sister, Gertrude LeGree, Statesboro; and four brothers, Donald Taylor Sr., Atlanta, Bernard Hendrix Jr., Columbia, S.C.; Carl Hendrix, Statesboro and Kenneth Hendrix, Anderson, S.C.
The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Brannen Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Julius Abraham officiating. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery. Family visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7-8 p.m. in the chapel of James R. Barnes Mortuary.
