Tom Wofford Funeral Rites Are Thursday
Funeral service for Thomas Bell Wofford, 63, was conducted Tuesday afternoon in Heavener's First Baptist Church. Rev. Robert S. Jackson, pastor of the Poteau First Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Heavener Memorial Park under direction of Dowden Funeral Home.
Born April 8, 1904, in Georgia, Mr. Wofford had made his home since 1959 on a farm near Poteau. Prior to that, the Woffords lived in Heavener, where he was employed by the Kansas City Southern Lines. An injury brought about his retirement.
Mr. Wofford died Sunday in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a member of the Heavener First Baptist Church, the Oddfellow and Masonic Lodges.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, of the home; a son, Charles in Air Force; two grandchildren. (MillieBelle)
