On Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, heaven received its newest angel. Wanda Merlene Enos was born March 5, 1932. She passed peacefully in her sleep in her home Lake Isabella, Calif. She was 78 years old. Wanda, a 30-year resident of Lake Isabella, was born in Salt Lake, Utah and came to California with her family at a very young age. She grew up in Bell, Calif.
Wanda was a registered nurse for over 20 years and she worked in the banking industry for over 11 years until she retired. She was an avid California Angels baseball fan. She knew all the stats of all the players and watched each televised game faithfully.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Jerard (Jerry) Enos, parents Frank and Nancy Johnson, her sisters Donna Willis and Margene Liberty and brother Martin (Grant) Johnson.
She is survived by her daughters, Trudy Stovall and Terri Willis; son, Martin Patterson; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The entire family would like to express our sincere appreciation for all the love and care given by the exceptional hospice nurses of Optimal Hospice Care. We would also like to extend a very special heartfelt thank you to Susan Wendland for her loving care of both Jerry and Wanda until the day each of them passed. Services for Wanda will be held at the Kern River Valley Cemetery on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.
