FERRIDAY (Special) - Funeral services for Arthur O. Thompson, 64, of St. Joseph, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church of God here with the Rev. H. C. Glisson officiating.

Burial will be in the Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton under the direction of Comer Funeral Home of Ferriday.

Mr. Thompson died in Concordia Parish Hospital here Thursday after a lengthy illness. He has been a resident of Tensas Parish for 30 years. He was employed by the Louisiana State Department of Conservation and was a member of the Church of God.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mozelle Howell Thompson of St. Joseph; two sons, Charles Edgar Thompson of Ferriday, and Ralph A. Thompson of Odessa, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. La Verne Pouche, Shreveport, and Miss Carol Sue Thompson, St. Joseph; two brothers, Charlie A. Thompson, Baltimore, Md., and Marvin E. Thompson, Princeton, N.C.; four sisters, Mrs. R. L. Whaley, Goldsboro, N.C., Mrs. A. W. Wiggs and Mrs. George Walker, both of Danville, Va., and Mrs. Frank Ellis, Raleigh, N.C.; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jim Barbre, Fred Schauf, John F. Boughton, Issac Watson, Lloyd Jackson and Kenneth Nixon.
