Funeral services for Mrs. Sid N. [sic] Pettross, 81, lifelong resident of Smith County, who died at her home on Jefferson Avenue at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon , was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Carthage Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ewing S. Weakley, pastor, and Phocian Gibbs, officiating. Interment was in the Carthage Ridgewood Cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Billy Nash [sic] of Horseshoe Bend, and was educated in Smith County schools. Survivors included one daughter, Mrs. P. J. Boston, Carthage; four sons, Marvin, S. J. and Leon of Carthage and Reggie Pettross of Nashville; 22 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
