Terry Balliew, age 50 of Albany, died Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Hendrick Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 5th, at the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Doug Stenberg officiating. Interment will follow in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held Friday evening, February 4th, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at Morehart Mortuary of Albany.

Terry Alyene Talkington was born on August 15, 1960 in Ozark, Arkansas, to parents, Giles George Talkington Sr. and Stella Alyene Owens Talkington. Terry grew up and attended schools in Lavaca, Arkansas, where she graduated from Lavaca High School in 1978. A talented athlete, Terry participated in basketball and softball. In her youth, Terry loved riding horses and participating in rodeo activities. Through her dedication, Terry was elected as Rodeo Queen of Lavaca. Following high school Terry attended Mellie's Beauty College in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where she graduated in 1980. She married Dennis Keith Balliew on January 9, 1985 in Abilene, Texas. Very skilled in her profession, Terry owned and operated her own salon in Arkansas and also worked as a stylist in the JCPenney Salon in Abilene. Terry loved people and always reminded them to "keep smiling." She also loved to spend time with and care for her family and grandchildren. Terry was preceded in death by her father.

Terry is survived by her husband, Keith Balliew of Albany; mother, Alyene Talkington Hunter and husband, D.O. of Sallisaw, OK; mother-in-law, Dolores White of Lavaca, AR; one son, Kody Balliew of Albany; one daughter, Ashley Balliew of Albany; three grandchildren, Christopher Lyons and Kiera Lyons, both of Albany and Ethan Scott of Roscoe; one brother, Giles George Talkington Jr. of Lavaca, AR; two sisters, Tracie Parker and husband, Tim and Judy Puckett and husband, Jay, all of Lavaca, AR; one brother-in-law, Wesley Balliew and wife, Gail of Hamby; one sister-in-law, Wanama Cratty and husband, Larry of Morrilton, AR and many beloved nephews, nieces and friends.
