"Woodford D. Newlin Dies in Oklahoma
"The remains of Woodford D. Newlin accompanied by his wife and child and Daniel Hall, a representative from Beaver lodge, I. O. O. F. of Lawton, (of which the deceased was a member) arrived in this city early Monday morning. Services were held from the Christian church at l0 o'clock and the remains were conveyed to the Newlin cemetery for burial. Mr. Newlin was well known here and a large number of relatives and friends were in attendance at the funeral.
“Mr. Newlin was taken sick with acute dysentery while at work about sixty miles from his home early in the morning of May 19th. He was hurried to his home in Lawton, where he died on Thursday evening.

“Mr. Newlin had been married twice. He leaves two sons, Don and Ross, who reside here, and a wife and three year old daughter who resided with him in Lawton.

“Mr. Newlin was about 55 years of age. He united with the Christian church at Lawton about five years ago, in which church services were held before starting for Robinson. The Odd Fellows of Lawton discharged their obligation in an admirable manner, in fact they overstepped their obligations. After preparing the remains for burial, securing tickets, from that point to Robinson, they sent a representative along who saw that everything was all right. Such is the manifestation of brotherly love.”
