WAYNE OSTRANDER ALGEE, 68
BELDING — Wayne Ostrander Algee, 68. of 910 W.
Ellis Avenue, Belding, died Saturday, Dec. 22,1990, at
Sheridan Community Hospital.
Mr. Algee was born Aug. 2, 1922, in Lakeview. His
adoptive parents were Grover and Jessie (Brander) Algee.
He retired in 1984 from employment with the state of
Michigan as a manager with the Liquor Control Commission.
A veteran of World War II and the Koren Conflict, he
served with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the
Belding Masonic Lodge 355 F&AM, Belding VFW Post
and Belding American Legion Post.
He married Jeanne Yost in 1956. She preceded him in
death Nov. 28, 1988.
Survivors are his daughters, Mrs. Roy (Patricia) Switzer, Crystal; Mrs. Ronald (Kathleen) Fisher, Rockford,
and Susan Teall, Belding; a son, David Bums, Grayling;
a dear friend. Harriett Rose. Belding; a brother and
sister-in-law. Allan and Doris Algee, Grand Rapids.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Anne Babcock. 1985.
Funeral and committal services are 11 a.m. today at
Johnson Funeral Home. Belding. the Rev. Byron Davey
and Belding Masonic Lodge 355 F&AM officiating.
Interment will be at Rest Haven Memory Gardens. Belding.
Visitation at the funeral home was Sunday evening.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sheridan
Community Hospital or Alvah N. Belding Public Library.
