Mr. Craul was born in York, on October 8, 1925, son of the late Ralph and Grace (Strickler) Craul.
He was raised for the majority of his life by foster parents, Harvey and Minnie Spangler. He was a self employed carpenter and worked for the former C.C. Dietz Construction Co. He later worked various jobs through Sesame Temps.
Arbery served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of the Pleasureville American Legion and the Hawk Gunning Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Theresa A. Troup and her husband, Barry, and Christine M. Beck and her husband, Michael, all of York; three grandchildren, Ryan L. Troup, Lynaya J.M. Beck, and Kendall A.W. Beck; three brothers, Gene Craul of Lancaster, Charles Craul of York, and Raymond "Rick" Craul of Dover; three sisters, Eva Wolf of York, Mary Keeney of Hellam, and Evelyn Zellers of York; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Elwood Craul, Richard Craul, and Ralph Craul; and a sister, June S. Craul.
Final resting place will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, York.
