Herbert H. Altus, age 90, of Leroy died Sunday morning, May 28, 2000 at his residence.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Martin’s Cemetery in Tours, with Rev. Isidore Rozyscki officiating.
The family received visitors from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kotch Funeral Home in West.
Mr. Altus was born September 3, 1909 in Roby, Texas and had lived in the Leroy area most of his life. He was a retired farmer and had worked for Hammond Machine Company in Waco for a number of years.
He married Wilma Wrbas on February 24, 1936. She preceded him in death January 24, 1998.
Mr. Altus is survived by two sons, Tommy Altus and wife Martha of Arlington and John Altus and wife Cindy of Richardson; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Active Pallbearers were Hugo Gorgas, Steven Altus, Robbie Altus, John Michael Altus, Brian Altus and Vern Hardyman.
Kotch Funeral Home of West was in charge of the arrangements.
