OBITUARY
BONNALIE SUCCUMBS - Ernest B. Bonnalie, 73, a retired carpenter and millwright, died Tuesday, apparently of a heart attack, while doing some carpentry work for friends at the Lewiston trailer court where he lived. He was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Joseph's Hospital at 4:45 p.m.

He was born March 8, 1903, at Reubens to James and Alice Bonnalie. He attended high school at Reubens and worked as a woodsman until moving to Jacques Spur in 1924. He was employed as a warehouseman for Lewiston Grain Growers, Inc., at Winchester and Lapwai and later as a millwright for Potlatch Corp. at Lewiston - living at Jacques Spur, Gifford and Sweetwater - until 1950, when he moved to Tacoma.

While living at Tacoma, he worked as a carpenter and millwright at dam construction sites throughout western Washington. He retired Creston, Wash., for five years before moving to Lewiston in 1970.

He married Beulah D. Marquam at Lewiston Oct. 7, 1923. She survives at the family home at 622 Burrell.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and of the Millwrights Union Local 470.

Other survivors include two sons, Russell F. of Lewiston and Eugene J., of Orofino; a daughter, Donna D. Ruddell of Lewiston; two brothers, John Bonnalie of Lewiston and Frank Bonnalie of Vancouver, Wash,; six sisters, Nellie Staley and Bessie Ankney, both of Sweetwater, Jesse Predmore of Sacramento, Calif., Phoebe Denny of Reubens, Dollie Stokoe of Deer Park, Wash., and Mayme Gross of Oregon, 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A son, James E. Bonnalie died in 1970.

Funeral services are pending at Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home.
