He was married to Lillie Heer March 3, 1915. They settled and farmed in Riley County until 1948 when they retired and moved to Wabaunsee County. In 1971 they moved to Wamego.
He was preceded in death by one son, Frank. He is survived by his wife Lillie, of Alma Manor, one son Evertt E Say of Alma, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandsons.
He was a good husband, father, and always willing to help a neighbor. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. Funeral Services were held at the Holmes Funeral Home at Riley, Kansas on Monday February 9, 1981 with interrment at Riley Cemetery.
Frank & Lillie farmed in Riley County, on land that is now part of Fort Riley. They sold their farm to the government in 1948 and moved to Wabaunsee County.
