Born in Hackleburg, Ala., on September 14, 1920, he was a son of the late Clinton and Minnie Kelly Townley.
Four brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death.
He married Quillie Mae Palmer, who preceded him in death.
Townley was a retired street worker for the city of Advance.
Mr. Townley leaves two sons: Billy Townley of Kalamazoo, Mich.; A daughter, Peggy Trowbridge, of Steele, Mo.; One sister, Maggie Barrow, of Hackleburg; Twelve grandchildren; and Eleven great-grandchildren.
Burial will be Saturday, October 14, 1995, at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee, Mo., with no visitation or service. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
