Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 5th at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church for lifelong Taft resident, Harriet Elizabeth Hibbard. Pastor Jim Kilgore will be officiating the services.

Mrs. Hibbard was born in Kelseyville, California on March 31, 1915 on she went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2003 in Taft, California at the age of 88.

Harriet was educated through the Taft Schools during her childhood. She was employed at Wagners 5&10 Cent Store in 1950 where she met her husband Elmer. On October 18, 1950 they were married in Taft. They spent the next 42 years together happily raising their 6 children. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She loved sewing and enjoyed making outfits for her loved ones.

Harriet is preceded in death by her husband James Flippen in 1948 and is survived by her husband, Elmer Hibbard of Taft, her children, her sisters, 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Viewing hours will be held on Sunday, May 4th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at West Side Family Mortuary, 1150 4th Street. For those who would like to pay their respects.

All funeral services are entrusted with West Side Family Mortuary.
