Bernard is preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years Carolyn Bartkowiak; 1 grandson John Bartkowiak, 1 brother Leonard Bartkowiak. Bernard is survived by his loving children, David Bartkowiak and wife Patricia, Kenneth Bartkowiak and wife Marilyn, Donna Pryor and husband Stanley; 3 brothers, Johnny, Victor, and Raymond Bartkowiak; 1 sister, Florence Kocich; 5 grandsons, Jason, Michael, and Darrell Bartkowiak, James, and Jacob Pryor; 1granddaughter, Jeana Bartkowiak; 3 great-grandchildren, Tori, Taylor, Erin; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2011 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home. A Mass of Resurrection will be 10:00 am Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Rose Ln., Houston, TX 77037. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
