Stella Goblirsch

ONAWA, Iowa Stella A. Goblirsch, 95, of Onawa died Sunday, Feb. 25, 1996, at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church in Onawa with the Rev. A.E. McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Dunlap. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a Scripture service at 7 p.m. and a rosary service at 7:30 p.m., at the Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa.

Mrs. Goblirsch was born Jan. 2, 1901, in Alton, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Lesch) Streff. She moved to Minnesota with her family as a child and lived in the towns of St. Leo, Green Valley and Woodstock.

She married Albert F. Goblirsch May 9, 1922, at St. Leo. The couple lived in Rockwell, Iowa, and Nebraska before moving to Dunlap. He died March 9, 1955.

She had been a resident of Onawa for the last 10 years.

Mrs. Goblirsch was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Onawa and an honorary member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Survivors include six daughters, Monica and her husband, Bill Willett, of Omaha, Lucille and her husband, Ed Clark, Genevieve and her husband, Fred White, and Dorothy Weinberger, all of Denver, Colo., Mary and her husband, Bob Fox, of St. John's, Mich., and Anne and her husband, Joe Langenfeld, of Onawa; four sons and their wives, Virgil and Dorothy of Detroit, Mich., Albert N. and Clare of Ralston, Neb., Dr. Thomas and Gerry of Bakersfield, Calif., and Gregory and Maurine of Arlington, Minn.; 52 grandchildren and 105 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Linus; a daughter, Jane Traichal; a sister, Esther Anthony; a brother, Leo Streff, and a grandson, John Fox.
