Geneva Maxine Berry, age 87, of Gardendale, Texas died January 28, 2011, at Midland Memorial Hospital. Interment was at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Geneva was born April 21, 1923 in Palestine, Texas to John and Rebecca (Johnson) Novak. She married Howard Berry on May 28, 1939 in Crockett, Texas. He preceded Geneva in death in 2006. She moved from Azul to Gardendale 25 years ago. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Survivors include son, Jay Berry and wife Patsy of Midland; son, David Berry of Fort Worth; daughter, Joy Sandifer and husband Gove of Alamogordo, New Mexico; brothers, Richey Novak, Willie Novak, and Darrell Chapman; 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
