George W. Barnes, formerly of Franklin, died Tuesday morning in Buffalo City Hospital following a two weeks' illness. He was born in Venango County Sept. 3, 1893, son of Charles E. and Hannah Keefer Barnes...

He lived in Buffalo, NY, two years, where he conducted a garage business.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Reed Vogt of Franklin, Mrs. George Richardson of Franklin, and Mrs. Melvin Vogt of New Castle; and two brothers, Alfred E. Barnes of Franklin, and F. A. Barnes of Rocky Grove.

Boyd N. Park is in charge of funeral arrangements.
