Wilbur Kenneth 'Kenny' McKinney

Wilbur Kenneth 'Kenny' McKinney, 48, of Stones Falls Road, Dansville, died Saturday, January 4, 1997 after a courageous battle with heart disease.

He was born in Fayette County, West Virginia, on October 4, 1948, the son of the late James Anderson McKinney and Della Pauline Kincaid.

Kenny was a member of the Dansville Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1130 and the Dansville Fish and Game Club. He was a former member of the Wayland and Perkinsville Rod and Gun Clubs. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was very meticulous about the care and detailing of his vehicles.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Doris Jean Sill in 1990; and three brothers, Harold A. 'Mac' in 1990, Billy in 1991 and Alex Franklin 'Frank' in 1996.

He is survived by his loving companion of 16 years, Bonnie Sackett, and son Shawn (Gina) Sackett of Ossian; three brothers, Ralph (Bertha) of Rainelle, WV, James (Jean) of Dansville, and Donal (Wendy) of Lancaster, CA; one grand-daughter, Morgan Sackett; sisters-in-law Sue McKinney and Dianne McKinney, both of Dansville; six half-sisters, Reda Dennison, Kay Cutlip, Rethel Russell, Susie Cutlip, Vickie Holcomb and Lena Cutlip; one half-brother, Luke McKinney; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends called Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Chamberlin Funeral Home Inc., 73 Main St., Dansville, where a funeral service was held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Licata officiating. Burial took place at Greenmount Cemetery.

A Moose prayer service was held Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
