She was born December 21 1910 in Scott County IN to the late Arthur & Mabel McCoskey Sutton.
She was married to James Z Johnson who preceded her in death on October 23 1974.
She & her husband were co-owners and farmers in Ripley County IN. Alma had also been employed as a retail clerk for Gladstein's & Shapinsky's fashion stores in Scottsburg. She was a member of the Shelby area church in Rexville IN.
Survivors: daughters: Brenda Comer (husband John) of Scottsburg and Carol Unser of Florida; brother Jack Sutton of Hanover IN & 2 grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, & 1 grandchild.
