Son of Frank N. and Ellen Maria (Mudgett) Flanders. He was age 4 with his parents in New Hampton in 1880 and had a sister Nellie. (Note name is George H. on death record, George U. in census and on stone.)

George H. Flanders married Christie/Christina H. Hodgdon June 9, 1896 in Ashland. She was the daughter of George M. and Pamelia A. (Plaisted) Hodgdon.

George and Christie had children Roy Newton born 1897, Mildred H. born 1899, Marion J. 1900, Charles M. 1903, and Laurence M. 1912. The family resided in Ashland in 1920. George was a knitter in the hoisery mill.

The ceremony was witnessed by the parents of both parties. The couple received many nice and acceptable gifts and the hearty congratulations of numerous friends. At 5 o'clock Mr and Mrs Flanders took the southbound train and left town for their wedding trip from which they returned Tuesday night. They will live in this town.
