Iva Crist Keyse Carr Scott, 91 died, March 7, 2007, at her home, Scott City. She was born Dec. 11, 1915, in Friend, the daughter of John Eli and Mattie Shores Crist. A lifetime resident of Scott County, she was a homemaker, farmer and rancher. She belonged to the First Christian Church, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Beta Tau Chapter, and the EHU all in Scott City. On April 15, 1930 she married Delmar C. Keyse in Trenton, Neb. He died June 19, 1967. On Sept. 17 1974 she married Myron J. Carr. He died May 7, 1987. On March 19, 1994 she married J.B. Scott. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, C.H. "Bud" Keyse, Newnan, Ga., and Norman Keyse, Scott City, two daughters, Janis R. Whitham, Leoti, and Donna Rudolph, Durham, N.C. 13 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters, and eight step brothers and sisters. Burial will be in Prairie View Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Friend.
