Dorothy Albright Benton, 89, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2013, after a courageous battle during a year of failing health.
She was born on May 10, 1924, in Beasley, Texas, to Frank C. Albright and Alvina L. Albright. A lifelong resident of Fort Bend County, she was married in 1944 to Ralph W. Benton, who predeceased her in 1993.
She is survived by her three children, daughters Brenda Pullen and her husband Larry of Sugar Land, Texas, Cindy Allred and her husband Gary of Richmond, Texas, and son Ralph L. Benton of Rosenberg, Texas.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Elizabeth Hudson and her husband Daniel of Aberdeen, Scotland, Brett Allred and his wife Andrea of Richmond, Texas, Bryan Allred and his wife Katherine of Tomball, Texas, and three great-grandchildren, Catherine and Charlotte Hudson of Aberdeen, Scotland, and Nolan Benton Allred of Tomball, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Chester T. Albright, Ervin W. Albright, and Frank C. Albright, Jr. and by her sisters Leona A. Gerke and Eleanora A. Weidner.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16th at the Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel in Rosenberg, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel in Rosenberg at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17th.
The burial will follow at the Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg, Texas.
