FORMER RESIDENT OF OSHKOSH, APPLETON DIES IN THE SOUTH
Arthur M. Beglinger, a former resident of Oshkosh and more recently of Appleton, died Saturday morning unexpectedly at St. Petersburg, Fla., where he was spending the winter.
Mr. Beglinger operated the former Majestic and Bijou theaters at Appleton for 17 years. He was proprietor of the English Kitchen in this city for 16 years, leaving here in 1916 to go to Appleton.
He was born in Oshkosh, May 25, 1873, the son of J. M. Beglinger and Caroline Beglinger.
When Mr. Beglinger entered the theater business the longest pictures were of two reels in length.
He was a member of the First English Lutheran church of Appleton.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Alfred Phillips, Appleton; two sons, Carl, Appleton; and Gilbert, Neenah; two brothers, Theodore and Walter Beglinger, Oshkosh; two sisters, Miss Anna Beglinger, Oshkosh; and Mrs. Fred R. Ecke, Sheboygan; and a cousin, Judge Fred Beglinger.
Funeral services are to be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:45 o'clock at the Wichman funeral home and at 2 o'clock at the First English Lutheran church there. The body will be placed in the Valhalla mausoleum at Milwaukee Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
A brother, Carl Beglinger, died six years ago.
