John Wesley Allen, 79, Civil War Veteran Dies Friday; Funeral Monday
John Wesley Allen, 79, Civil War veteran, died Friday morning at Lima City hospital.
He was born Sept. 16, 1845, in Fairfield-co, and served in the Civil war. He moved to Lima from Delphos and lived here a number of years.
Besides the widow, Margaret F. Allen, he is survived by three sons, Malvin, Howard E. and Harry W. Allen, all of Lima; one daughter, Mrs. D. S. Roberts, Connorsville, Indiana.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Grace M. E. church. Burial in Woodlawn cemetery.
