Mrs. Isabella Lee
Isabell Albin was born April 25, 1842, in Cedar county, Iowa, and died at Giltner, Nebraska, January 15, 1916, aged 73 years, 8 months and 20 days.
Her childhood and youth were spent in Iowa, where, on October 27, 1868, she was married to William Hill Lee. They resided in Ogden, Iowa, until June, 1873, when they came to Nebraska. Her husband died about 8 years ago leaving his wife and four children, Alonzo, Wm. D., Eliza, and Eula Mae, now Mrs. O. G. Torgerson, all of whom were present when the end came.
Mrs. Lee was converted and united with the Methodist church about thirty-five years ago, and during all these years she lived a faithful, consistent Christian life. She was ever ready to do her part, giving of her time and strength, not only to her family but for the community and the upbuilding of the church that she loved.
Mrs. Lee was taken ill about the first of March last, and during all these months she was an invalid, suffering intensely, needing constant care and during her suffering she was patient and cheerful, her only regret being that she could not live and care for her aged mother, who yet lingers a little while. She leaves also, besides her own children, a brother in Iowa and a sister, Mrs. J. A. Smith, of Republican City, Nebraska.
The funeral services were held from the Methodist church at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, Rev. D. C. Winship having charge of the services. Interment was made in the Lerton Cemetery.
