ALFORD -- The death of Hubert Goodson Alford of 1001 McPherson Ave. occurred in hospital on September 6. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 9 at 2:00pm from McKague's Funeral Home.
Surviving are:his widow Mrs Annie Alford; two daughters, Mrs E G (Maisie) Miller, Saskatoon; Mrs Marjorie Porter, Victoria; one son, Ronald, Saskatoon ;
one brother Hiram Alford, of Ottawa, Ontario.
Born in Leeds County, Ontario, Mr Alford came to Saskatoon in 1908 and in 1911 opened the Alford Planing Mills. He retired in 1963.
Interment will be made in the family plot in Woodlawn Cemetery.
