Canadian representative for the Northern Lightning Rod Co. at the time of his death. He was a member of the Morristown Masonic Lodge No. 231 in Tennessee, along with being a member of the Masonic "Amra Grotto" of Knoxville, TN. He was buried with full Masonic rites under the auspices of Lodge Progress No. 92 A.F. & A.M., directed by Rev. R. Lorne McTavish. The obituary did not mention the cemetery.
He had one son, John Wesley Cain, who was living in Los Angeles at the time of his death, and one daughter, Nelle Cain, who was married to Donald Campbell at he time of his death and lived in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
