Severance Boy Dies
Windsor, Nov. 11-George Schmidt, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Smith [sic] of the Severance district, died at his home Sunday (Nov. 9, 1930)forenoon, following a long illness.
He was born in Dittel, Russia, August 24, 1902, and when four years of age he came to American. The family located at Lincoln and shortly thereafter came to Windsor, where the boy entered the Windsor schools. He was confirmed in the Zion Lutheran church at Windsor under Rev. Paul Jueling, in 1921.
The young man is survived by his parents, six brothers and three sisters.
The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 11, 1930) at the Zion Lutheran church and burial was made at the Windsor Cemetery.
